The leader of the natural disaster management operation, Bledi Çuçi, has made a review two weeks after the earthquake shook the country.

He said that at the current moment, home inspections are being conducted by 100 different groups with work completed on 14,069 objects, while 44 that are uninhabited are set to be demolished.

Regarding the reconstruction program, Çuçi says that so far there is 20 billion lekë available, 13 billion lekë coming from the state budget and 7 billion lekë from donations.

According to Çuçi, special attention has been paid to inspecting schools in the areas affected by the earthquake, while the preliminary damage in these institutions is estimated at about 3.05 billion lekë.

But while there is a preliminary estimation for damage to schools, the government does not yet have a bill for all of the earthquake damage.

Leader of the Natural Disaster Management Operation also spoke about the rent bonus, which according to him only 1,588 families have profited in Tirana and Durrës, while the Council of the Municipality of Lezha and other Municipalities continue to accept applications for those affected by the earthquake.
