Rio 2016, ceremonia madhështore në syrin e Agjencisë së Fotografisë EPA

Lojërat Olimpike Rio 2016 kanë filluar zyrtarisht pas ceremoninë së hapjes, e cila u zhvillua rreth orës 1:00 të mëngjesit të sotëm në stadiumin e famshëm të Marakanas.

Ceremonia madheshtore e hapjes e cila zgajti 4 orë u ndoq nga një audiencë televizive prej 3 miliardë njerëzish.

Në këtë kompeticion marrin pjesë 206 shtete me rreth 12 mijë atletë, prej të cilave 6200 meshkuj dhe 5100 sportiste femra.

Përgatitijet për Lojërat Olimpike i kanë kushtuar Brazilit 4.59 miliardë dollarë. Bileta më e shtrenjtë kap vlerën 1400 dollarë, ndërsa më e lira kushton 60 dollarë.

28 është numri i sporteve që do të luhen në këtë Olimpiadë, dy prej të cilave janë sporte të reja: Golfi që rikthehet pas 112 vitesh si dhe regbi..
