Concessions, Competition Authority: Our opinion is not being sought

The Chairwoman of the authority for fair business competition, Lindita Milo, reported today at the economic commission. She raised the concern that the government is not seeking the opinion of her institution before issuing concessions. Reporting on the activities of her organization in 2015, she spoke about the problems with court rulings. According to her, the courts are repealing the fines that the authority imposes, on people who violate fair competition laws. She says that the number of complaints increased from 30 in 2014 to 50 in 2015. She said that most of the complaints are related to violations in the 'electronic communications' industry, but that 'public procurements' are a close second.
