Local Elections, Foreign Observers: Voting process goes smoothly
The Albanian citizens are voting for the election of their mayors throughout the country.The voting process in Tirana, has gone generally smoothly and without incident, and there are not long lines.The presence of international observers has been greater in the capital.The head of the mission of the OSCE / ODIHR, Audrey Glover, was in "Hasan Prishtina" school, from where she stated that there were no problems so far.Audrey Glover: We are observing in the school "Hasan Prishtina". We are here to support the Albanian people and their right to free and fair elections. I wish for smooth elections!" -reads the message of the U.S. ambassador.The Czech Ambassador to Tirana, Bronislav Tomášová was in Vora, where she invited all the Albanians to vote.Bronislav Tomášová:"Voting is still underway. I can assure you that the citizens are voting. Participation 27 % so far, it seems to me a very good percentage. I urge people not to miss this opportunity and come to vote. Our observers are in the country. The accredited ambassadors to Albania, are also monitoring the elections.
