Election Analysis, Meta in Durres: SMI is the main source of political stability
The head of the Socialist Movement for Integration participated today in an analysis of the SMI structures in Durres for the local elections. Speaking to the SMI members supporters, Mr. Meta said that the results form a good basis for the future of the party. He said: "The Socialist Movement for Integration is a political force that has registered considerable increase compared to the 2013 elections, with 80,000 more votes. We received 140,000 more votes than we did in the 2011 elections. What makes us happy is that the SMI came out as either the first or second political force in half of the municipalities of the country"-said Mr. Meta. The SMI chairman considers the June 21st results to be a vote in favor of political stability in the country. He said that the main factor in the increase is the positive message of the SMI. He continued: "We need people who reflect the positive values of the SMI. The votes we have received should be reflected in the improvement and strengthening of our structures. We should continue to be the primary source of political stability in the country, because the citizens need trust. We should demand more from ourselves, in order to strengthen the belief the citizens have in us"- said Mr. Meta. Finally, he added that he sees the youth as the center of his party's strength.
