The inter-city transport association is giving warning coming protests if the government does not enforce its rules.Specifically, the intercity transportation operators are upset about the vans that carry passengers between cities. On behalf of the intercity transport operators, their leader Kujtim Mema spoke up about the issue. He mentioned the governments statement that private vans will no longer be allowed to do this after the first of January 2015. According to him, this rule has not been applied or enforced, and this is the reason for the protests.He said that other problems that his organization faces are the lack of a terminal, and the traffic fines that are given to the bus operators, which his organization feels are abusive.If the government institutions do not react to these issues within 10 days, the city busses of Tirana will hold a protest and block the roads of the capital.
