Bank loans, Channel One presents second level bank scandal

The loans given out by the second level banks in Albania are 3 times more expensive than those in the countries of the European Union.Banks are applying a rate of 5.5% for family loans, and 9-10% for business loans. These rates are three times higher than other countries in Europe, and this means that the central bank has allowed second level banks to cheat the Albanian people.The crisis in the euro zone has of course affected Albania to a great extent, but the banking system has not been so damaged.A report presented by Channel One states that the profits of the second level banks are about 30% on average. Experts say that businesses in Albania are operating in very difficult conditions, since the loan rates are very high.Our banking system operates with no transparency or standardization, since we are not aligned with the standards of the European union.Channel One is also going to release new facts that will prove the involvement of the central bank in this financial scandal.
