Referring to the US State Department report, theDemocratic Party accused the government of plunging the country into povertyand turning it into the most corrupt country in Europe. Former MP Jorida Tabakusaid outgoing government corruption alienates American investors and closesjobs for Albanians.
The Democratic Party reacted to the US State Departmentreport that ranks Albania one of the most corrupt countries in the WesternBalkans, stressing that this government has plunged the country into poverty.

Tabaku: Due to the corruption of the Rama government,Albanians cannot benefit from the millions of American investments. Albaniawith its strategic position in the Western Balkans, pro-American spirit andworkforce should be a place where American businesses and enterprises should beamong the most present in the region.
In 7 years, says Tabaku, this government has locked theAlbanians in the prison of the oligarchy.
Tabaku: The report highlights concrete cases of US businesses leaving as a result of government corruption they have faced. The government has been hostile to such investments, has favored corruption over the investments of the country's strategic partners. We do not promise miracles, but simple things. We will return the economy to normalcy and for the benefit of the citizens. This will enable the citizens to work here and not leave with thousands, as has happened for these 7 years.
The former Democratic MP said that the silent majorityof Albanians, those who do not forget or lie about Rama's empty promises in theApril 25 elections, will vote for the man of the oligarchs and organized crime.
