Former PD MP Albana Vokshi has expressed criticism ofthe Prime Minister's speech yesterday (September 7) in parliament on therepresentation of women regarding the open lists.
Through a Facebook post, she states that Rama cannot"hide behind the women's dress" to reject the open lists.
Full Facebook post:
Whenever it comes to maintaining his power, Edi Rama cheats and hides behind the women's dress. Edi Rama neither loves open lists, nor does he care about women MPs.
Indeed, he insults women when he says that they should be part of closed lists, as they cannot earn on their own. With fair competition, where Rama does not include criminals, does not buy votes, does not threaten voters, women have all the opportunities to be the most voted candidates of the citizens.
Edi Rama today can not hide behind the women's dress to reject the open lists. If he really supported women, he would not wipe out 2 women candidates for MPs in Lezha with a drop of a pencil to open the way to the parliament for a criminal convicted of prostitution. The female candidates of the Socialist Party in Lezha had their children abducted, their family members threatened, in order for Edi Rama to introduce his criminal in the parliament.
Edi Rama does not care about women, when he insists on keeping closed lists for the winning part of the lists. Edi Rama has his own problem because he knows that no one votes for him. He's worried about his confidants, who Albanians know as symbols of corruption, who he has put in front of the counties and I know that no one votes for him with open lists.
To tell the truth to the end, Edi Rama does not even tolerate women. In the 22 years of his political career, he has abused all the women who have surrounded him for his personal power. We have seen live how he mistreats the women of his party and other women in parliament.
Today, it has been revealed and the women's dress cannot hide Edi Rama's fear of losing power soon.
In the first parliamentary session, Prime Minister Ramasaid again that he will not accept the 100 percent open lists if there is noworthy representation of women MPs.
