Osmani: The Agreement With Serbia Did Not Bring Kosovo What Was Promised

The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that with the agreement signed in Washington, the Kosovo delegation failedto bring to the country exactly what it promised to the citizens and theAssembly for a long time.

Through a Facebook post, Osmani enumerated issues suchas achieving mutual recognition with Serbia, non-negotiation of Lake Ujman,non-acceptance of Mini-Schengen, the missing, and other points.

On the other hand, Osmani welcomed the recognition byIsrael, considering it as one of the most important recognitions for Kosovo.

Osmani's Facebook post

Recognition from Israel is one of the most important recognitions that has come to Kosovo for a long time. This proved once again that since our declaration of independence, the United States has played an existential role in supporting and consolidating Kosovo's international subjectivity.

On the other hand, the Kosovo delegation failed to bring to the country exactly what it promised to the citizens and the Assembly for a long time:

- Mutual acquaintance with Serbia

- Non-negotiation of the use of resources (such as Ujmani)

- Non-acceptance of Mini-Schengen (or as it is called mini-Yugoslavia)

- Failure to touch the constitution and the declaration of independence (since for 1 year the moratorium on Article 17 of the constitution and articles 8 and 9 of the declaration of independence was renounced)

- Concrete results for the missing

- Compensation for war reparations

- Serbia's responsibility for crimes committed in Kosovo

- Complete elimination of non-tariff barriers that Serbia has imposed on Kosovo.
