Changes In The Constitution, Meta: Unprecedented Act, I Do Not Recognize It!

Ilir Meta described the initiative for changing theConstitution as an unprecedented act that will not be recognized by theinstitution of the president.

The Head of State said that this parliament does nothave the legitimacy to carry out such an act, while according to him touchingthe Constitution unilaterally would damage the integration and stability of thecountry.

The President, Ilir Meta, will not recognize theconstitutional changes, which according to him are unacceptable and a threat tothe European future and the stability of the country.

"Such a unilateral act will not be recognized by the president who represents the unity of the people and is the only institutional guarantor of the protection of the constitution that works in the country."

The Head of State also said that the process of changesis in violation of the Constitution along with the request for the abolition ofcoalitions.

Ilir Meta listed several arguments, emphasizing thatbeyond this, this parliament has no legitimacy to make changes to theConstitution.

"The Assembly does not have full legitimacy to make constitutional reform because it lacks numbers."

Ilir Meta returned harshly to the opposition's decisionto burn the mandates, describing it as a "crazy" idea.

But the Head of State spoke of pressure and attempt tooverthrow what he calls the only legitimate institution left, the President.

"It has been provoked for two years by all directions to leave this institution, which is the only legitimate institution in the country, unfortunately."

The president says that open lists and the removal ofcoalitions can only be decided by referendum.

"Let the people decide whether or not they want coalitions. This is essential for pluralism and the rule of law. "

But at this point the Prime Minister reacted, sayingthat no one has held a referendum on this issue.ThePresident's spokesman assessed these statements as fear of the citizens,emphasizing how many times a referendum has been won.
