Hajdari Demands The Meeting Of The Political Council Tomorrow: To Approve By Consensus The Opening Of The Lists

Parliamentary opposition MP Rudina Hajdari requests themeeting of the Political Council the next day (September 29), at 12:00.

According to Hajdari, since all parties have submittedtheir proposals on this issue, it is time to discuss and agree.

For Hajdari, everyone must approve by consensus theopening of lists for the next elections.     

Hajdari's letter to the members of the Political Council

Honorable members of the Political Council,

I was pleased to note that the Democratic Party hassubmitted to the Political Council a draft proposal for amendments to theElectoral Code, a proposal which goes alongside that of the parliamentaryopposition and aims to open the lists 100% by enabling the citizen and not themayor to select deputies in the next Parliament.

Given that all parties have already submitted theirviews on this issue, I propose to meet tomorrow at 12:00 to discuss andpossibly agree on this issue.

The eyes of the Albanians are on their politicalrepresentatives and they today demand an electoral reform which first of allrestores sovereignty to the people through the mechanism of opening the lists.

Let us come together and represent this civic will,approving by consensus the real opening of the lists for the next elections.
