The Municipality Of Tirana Leads The Debts, The Arrears Amount To 1.9 Billion ALL
The Municipality of Tirana has continued to increase thestock of arrears throughout the second quarter of this year, owning about 22.2%of the total.
According to the official data of the Local FinanceDirectorate, the debt has deepened by about ALL 16 million compared to thefirst quarter of the year.
At the end of June, the stock of liabilities in themunicipality of the capital reached ALL 1.9 billion.
Thedata show that the municipalities have not made progress in the settlement but,on the contrary, have deepened their obligations.
Atthe end of June, the value of the stock of arrears for 61 municipalities of thecountry reached about ALL 8.7 billion.
Thedifference is about ALL 629 million compared to the first quarter of the yearand ALL 570 million compared to the end of 2019
Afterthe capital, in second place is the Municipality of Kavaja with about 846million ALL, followed by the municipality of Vora with about 711 million ALL.
TheMunicipality of Patos, unlike all other units of local self-government has notregistered any remaining liabilities.
TheMinistry of Finance reports that the total stock has increased by about ALL 0.6billion in the first half of the year.
Thelargest stock with about 52% of the total was recorded by the investment group,followed by "Goods and Services" with about 22% and "JudicialDecisions" with about 14%.
Accordingto the information of the local self-government units, the increase of thestock of the obligation of the municipalities in total has come mainly as aresult of the difficult financial situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
