No Deadline For Plasma Treatment For Patients With Covid-19

Fifteen volunteers have so far applied to donate bloodto cure those affected by the coronavirus.

All volunteers will then undergo a study for their completenegativity. Meanwhile, a concrete date has not yet been set when theapplication of this therapy to patients will begin.

This Wednesday (August 19), the first blood donation wasmade to treat those affected with coronavirus through antibodies, but there isstill no concrete date when the application of this cure to patients willbegin.

It is learned that plasma treatment will be performed onall patients admitted to two covid hospitals, while it is learned that theseverity of the disease is the main criterion for patient selection, whileexcluded from this list those patients who have mild covid symptoms or are inrecovery phase.

So far there are 15 citizens who have applied on thewebsite of the Ministry of Health to become part of the initiative "be someone'shero" to help cure active people with covid.

All applicants are being studied by the IPH for theirnegativity and the completion of the 28-day phase from the moment of infection.

All citizens who have passed the coronavirus and areaged from 18 to 65 can become volunteers of this initiative, with the exceptionof women who have passed a pregnancy.
