Bino: Work Is Underway To Provide A Safe Vaccine For COVID-19

From Kombinat, the Minister of Health and SocialProtection Ogerta Manastirliu and public health experts of the nationalvaccination program also spoke about providing the COVID-19 vaccine.

Manastirliu and Boni stated that free flu vaccines wereprovided for the categories in need in this area of Tirana.

"We are committed to providing the vaccination program and this year we have ensured the multiplication of free flu vaccines for the categories in need, according to the definitions of the Institute of Public Health", - said Manastirliu.

Whereas, the head of the Department of InfectiousDiseases in IPH, prof. Silva Bino said that work is being done in severaldirections to provide a safe vaccine against COVID-19.

"The world still does not have a safe vaccine, there are almost 7 vaccines that have passed the second phase, they are very promising vaccines and there are various initiatives.

One initiative is the COVAX Global Initiative, an initiative of many countries and many important international partners in the field of vaccination under the leadership of the WHO.

We will choose the vaccine that is effective and safe," Bino said.
