Këto drita të magjishme kanë pushtuar Britaninë e Madhe përgjatë mbrëmjes së të dielës. Bëhet fjalë për Aurora Borealis apo Dritat Veriore. Këto drita shumëngjyrëshe janë rezultat i elektroneve që përplasen me pjesën e sipërme të atmosferës së tokës.Nga ana tjetër protonet shkaktojnë aurora të zbehta dhe të shpërndara, zakonisht jo lehtësisht të dukshme pëer syrin e njeriut.Fenomeni shumëngjyrësh është i dukshëm në Skoci dhe në Irlandën e Veriut por që ka qënë lehtësisht i dallueshëm edhe në Anglesey dhe Oxfordshire.Aurora borealis shkaktohet kur elektriciteti i shkarkuar nga dielli hyn në atmosferën e tokës. Shumë britanikë kanë nxituar të postojnë foto dhe video në rrjetet sociale nga kjo shfaqje e mahnitshme që zgjati për minuta të tëra.Por cfarë janë dritat veriore?
