Katër të moshuar kanë humbur jetën si pasojë e përmbytjeve në Spanjë.Ngjarja e rëndë ndodhi në një azil pleqsh, kati i parë i të cilit u përmbyt pas daljes nga shtrati të një lumi aty pranë, si pasojë e shirave të rrëmbyeshëm.Sipas banorëve të zonës së Agramuntit, të cituar nga e përditshmja spanjolle El Pais, shiu gjatë pjesës më të madhe të natës ishte i lehtë, por pas orës 4 të mëngjesit reshjet u dendësuan, duke cuar në fryrjen e lumit Sio, i cili më pas doli nga shtati dhe përmbyti të gjithë banesat , bisnese e sipërfaqe të mëdha të rajonit.Pesë të moshuar të tjerë, të cilët gjithashtu jetonin në katin e parë të shtëpisë së të moshuarve Ribera Del Sio, u shpëtuan nga ekipet e emergjencës.
