Roma education, 40% of the Roma community is still illiterate 

A study that was recently conducted by the Center of Social and Economic research… reveals that the education level of the Roma community is still low.The Ministry of Education says that the situation has changed favorably since last year, but the figures are still concerning.The ministry says that five thousand, seven hundred, and sixty-six Roma children are attending school, which is one thousand, six hundred and one … more than last year.The study shows that 40% of the Roma community are still illiterate. The ministry of education has developed a strategy, which intends to include the Roma community in the obligatory education program, at least until 2019.The social and economic experts are saying that the poverty and the migratory habits of the Roma community… seriously hamper their education.
