Basha Meeting With Albanian Producers: We Stand For A Flat Tax Reduction Of 9%

Opposition candidate for Prime Minister Lulzim Basha during the meeting with representatives of Albanian producers revealed the details of the economic program of the Democratic Party.

The opposition leader is convinced that with this plan, he together with his government will turn the economy into a scenario with 3 winners.

"We firmly stand by our commitment to the 9% flat tax as opposed to reducing social contributions by 18%. The reduction of the fuel price will come through the elimination of the Rama tax, 240 old lekë and 24 new lekë for each liter.” said Basha

Basha reiterated his promise of a 12-month moratorium on inspectorates.

"We will set the 12-month moratorium during this time, the total reform will be done according to European standards. The result of this reform will be the same as the European standard that is being applied and in the Balkans 7 to 10% of business will be inspected every year. Not at dusk and the inspector at the door of the business." added Basha.

Representatives of Albanian producers underlined the lack of dialogue between the state and private business. But even for this concern the Democrats have a solution.

The Democratic Party brought to attention the abolition of the fuel tax for farmers as a way to help the sector.
