DP Program For Tourism, Basha: Better To Be Realistic, We Aim To Increase 15% Of Tourists
The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha met today in Durrës with the main representatives of the tourism business in this region to explain the program Albania Wins for Tourism.
The opposition leader explained to businesses the effects that this commitment of his government will have after April 25 for all tourism in the country.
Basha: Our desire exceeds some of the objectives we have set there but it would be unfair and dishonest and a deja vu of the past 8 years to come with bombastic promises and then stand idly by and you remain in place count as you remain these 8 years.
It is better to be realistic, direct with each other and those commitments that are made to perform. Yes to be yes, commitment to be fulfilled and indisputably economic growth, economic development in every sector and in particular in the Tourism sector then opens all the possibilities to go beyond these objectives.
In terms of direct objectives related to tourism, the main goal is that within 4 years the industry will have an increase from 8 to 10% and here we indisputably exclude the travel part, which is almost once again so.
We are talking only about tourism and not about travel, because together with travel we get 22%. In practice, this means doubling the number of employees in the sector. In practice this means we aim for a 15% increase in the number of tourists year after year. These are the objectives. Instruments on how to do this.
