The international organization "Reporters WithoutBorders" demands that the state authorities that are administering RTV ORAto not interfere in the television editorial line.

According to this organization, the mayor of Tirana hastried to stop the critical chronicles of RTV Ora and Ora News.

Reporters Without Bordersemphasizes that in the run-up to parliamentary elections, it is essential thatthe authorities respect pluralism in the media, and that all views, includingthe most critical ones, should be expressed in the media.

For the organization, thelawsuit against the media owner should not threaten the independence of Rtv Orajournalists.

Reporters Without Borders'latest reaction joins other sister organizations in Albania which have alsocondemned the state police and political pressure on the two televisions"Ora" and "Ora News".
