Protests in Kosovo, Opposition announces that protests will resume after Nov 28
The leaders of the opposition parties in Kosovo have announced that there will be no more protests until November 28th. After holding a meeting today, the leaders of the opposition called the government to withdraw from its agreements before it is too late. The tense political situation, and the violent opposition protests that disrupted Prishtina yesterday, were condemned by the diplomatic bodies in the capital of Kosovo. The embassies of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States have condemned the continued use of violence to achieve political goals. The foreign embassies have issued a joint statement:"Political violence is unacceptable. It harms the interests of the citizens, and the international position of Kosovo. It brings no benefit for anyone. We congratulate the Kosovo Police for their professionalism, and we emphasize the importance of obedience to the law by all citizens, regardless of rank or position." Meanwhile, the government building in Prishtine has been surrounded by a large police force, after warnings from the opposition that they will not stop until the agreements between Kosovo and Serbia are annulled. /Oranews.tv/
