Ministri i Jashtëm i Rusisë, Sergei Lavrov, u takua me përfaqësuesit e përhershëm të vendeve anëtare të Ligës Arabe, duke u premtuar zyrtarëve fillimin e një "epoke të re".
“Ne jemi në fillimin e një epoke të re, e cila do të ishte një lëvizje drejt multilateralizmit (procesi i organizimit të marrëdhënieve ndërmjet grupeve të tre ose më shumë shteteve) të vërtetë, jo atë që Perëndimi përpiqet të imponojë,” tha Lavrov.
