Manastirliu Announces Agreement: 100 Patients Will Be Treated Free Of Charge Every Year In Turkey

One of the agreements signed today between the Albanian and Turkish governments was in the field of health.

The agreement signed by the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu and Dr. Fahrettin Koca, the Minister of Health of Turkey, aims to support and improve the exchange of knowledge, experience, services and technology between the two countries, to strengthen systems and health policies, through advanced academic and scientific practices.

The agreement between the two Ministries of Health will extend to cooperation on health information systems and technologies, statistics, hospital information management systems, accreditation and quality control services, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, vaccines, biotechnology, etc.

Another important point of this agreement is the cooperation in emergencies, natural disasters and the development of joint work projects such as the joint organization of health weeks, health business forums, etc.

The renewed agreement also stipulates that the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey will continue to provide free treatment, for 100 patients per year from Albania for difficult interventions, who need highly specialized treatment.

Turkey is also committed to the construction of the Fier regional hospital, which, as President Erdogan said, will be ready before the April 25 elections.
