Rama Accuses Meta From Vlora: He Is Blocking Infrastructure Projects

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his visit to Vlora, has raised the concern that President Ilir Meta has blocked part of the investments of the new tourist infrastructure project that will connect Cold Water with Radhima and Orikum, with the existing road which will to add a bicycle lane, along with new elements of urban furniture.

According to the head of government, since the beginning of November we have been waiting for the power for a formal authorization from the president after we have done all the negotiations with the Saudi fund.

Rama added that without Meta's approval, the project cannot be realized, writes Ora News.

Edi Rama: “We did not want to have a politicized public debate on this but it is a fact that since the beginning of November we have been waiting for the power for a formal authorization from the president after we have done all the negotiations with the Saudi fund and it is actually a total blockade because if it is not given the omnipotence we cannot realize it.

It is a considerable fund to develop the project in two directions. First the whole rehabilitation and systematization of this road that is down to Rradhima and then to Orikum plus the other road because we promised the part of Rradhima in time because we will do it by introducing elements of the lungomare ”.
