Basha Meets Law Students: After April 25, Justice Will Not Be The Property Of The Government

DP chairman invites youth to join him to bring required change after April 25 and not to give up.

"We are a people who do not give up easily and we should not give up, we must be together and on April 25 to start the road for change together.

Part of this change must be the fight against corruption. If we consider it from the financial point of view and take only a concrete figure of the Albanian state, not of the Albanian opposition, 7.2 billion euros wasted in seven years. It is such a fantastic figure that it is impossible to perceive. Imagine what could have been done with half of this money, I'm not saying with all but half of this money."

What could have been done for education, for students, for infrastructure, for employment, for people in economic need, for health.

This is the bill of corruption. In a country without justice, corruption will only increase. It took three years to fill the vacancies in the Constitutional Court, which is certainly good news, but it is too late.

Basha also focused on justice reform and promised that after April 25, with the next government, justice will not be the property of the government.

"Justice reform needs the passion, purity and idealism of the youth to succeed. Many say justice was seized by the ruling party. This is one more reason to separate from the ruling party on April 25 because we know that with the next government, justice will not be the property of the government and this, as you know, is one of the guarantees of the rule of law. Separation and equalization of powers "Trias Politica."

No one will be able to accuse the next government of taking justice hostage but we will push it, stimulate it to do its job, starting with the fight against corruption, setting concrete examples to reverse this terrible balance 7.2 billion euros in 7 years."
