Basha: The Government Should Finance The Training Of Young People In Information Technology
The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, had a conversation with a group of young people who are studying and have finished their studies at universities abroad.
At a time when young people are fleeing Albania every day, the opposition leader described the return of these excellent students to their homeland as a message of hope for the change the country is seeking.
Responding to these issues, Basha brought the European example of new start-ups, precisely by enabling the youth, young people who want to create their own business, loans with favorable interests.
"An instrument that is also used by Western countries is the stimulation of new startups, precisely by enabling the youth, young people who want to create their own loan business with favorable interests and with a relief, in terms of collateral and other aspects, in terms of building the business model.
Indeed, Albania may not have the financial means in the short term to build a massive scheme in this direction, but to orient a mechanism with state support, a state guarantee fund towards priority development sectors, which may be tourism or information technology or other productive and exhibition activities, Albania can do this.
For me, there is no more real priority than to support the standard youth enterprise and to support the employment of young people, bringing both fiscal and financial incentives for other enterprises that employ young people, including young people returning from abroad," said the leader of the opposition.
“Road and digital infrastructure, our two governance priorities 2005-2013. We laid the foundations of the digitalization that bore the first fruits, such as visa liberalization.
For several years, Albania has not taken any steps in the field of technology. Lack of technological training for the youth and a very low degree of technology penetration in education", said the leader of PD.
According to Basha, "Albania has the most non-digitalized education in the Balkans", while adding that "technology also reduces corruption in public administration".
