Lawyers Submit To The Court The Removal Of The Seizure For The Assets Of Ylli Ndroqi, Between Them RTV Ora And Ora News
The lawyers of the president of "Yldon Media Group" submitted today the request for the revocation of the measure of sequestration of assets of Mr. Ylli Ndroqi. Among the seized assets are RTV Ora and Ora News televisions.
The request, signed by the legal representatives, Jordan Daci and Besnik Muçi, was submitted at noon on November 16 to the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.
Lawyer Besnik Muçi said that this request is a continuation of the request they have submitted to the Special Prosecution to initiate the revocation of the sequestration measure by this institution.
Besnik Muçi: “Today is almost three weeks. The prosecution has not responded to us and has not taken any action. We have no information whether the prosecution has analyzed this evidence. According to the Code of Criminal Procedure, the Prosecution must respond within 15 days, but we have not received any response. In these circumstances, we addressed the Court with a request to revoke the seizure measure.
It is difficult to explain the silence and inaction of the prosecution in these moments.
In the conditions when we presented a voluminous file to prove the source of assets and income from Mr. Ndroqi.
Failure to review this evidence in our assessment constitutes a violation of Mr. Ndroqi's rights and we appealed to the court, believing that the court will review the evidence in relation to the facts attributed by the prosecution.
In these circumstances, the court must initiate the lifting of the seizure measure."
The request was initially submitted to the Special Prosecution on October 29, 2020, but since that day this prosecution has not returned any response even though it has the obligation to do so.
Jordan Daci: “I did not like the lack of response from the prosecution, even to respect the procedural position that we have and they have. The case that we are engaged in is not like all the others because the economic damage is growing and these damages, whether we like it or not, belong to the state, as in the cases when it wins and when it loses, the state will always pay them. We would like the prosecution to be active and interested enough to find out the truth as soon as possible. "
Therefore, the lawyers have addressed today the Special Court, which in addition to the evidence of the Prosecution will review new evidence which the lawyers presented today in the Court.
For several months, "Yldon Media Group" and its president Ylli Ndroqi have been under strong political and police pressure, including show actions in the premises of RTV Ora and Ora News.
