Më 1 dhjetor kremtohet Dita Botërore e luftës kundër SIDA-s (World AIDS Day)Simbol i dhemshurisë dhe shpresave për një të ardhme pa SIDA u bë shiriti i vogël, fjongoja e kuqe e lidhur në formën e gërmës “V” të përmbysur.Atë e ideoi piktori amerikan Frank Moore.
