Reporters Without Borders Condemns The Companion Of Journalist Malësia By The Police And Demands An Independent Investigation

Reporters Without Borders (RWB) condemns the violent police escort of RTV Ora journalist Xhoi Malësia to yesterday's protest as he broadcast live developments from the 21 December area.       

In a twitter post, RWB calls for an independent investigation into police abuse.

"While covering a clash in Tirana's protest against police brutality, RTV Ora's Xhoi Malesia, clearly identified as a journalist, was detained and held for 3 hours by police who also beat and insulted him. RWB calls for an independent investigation into police misconduct."
