"Zero Tolerance For Attempts To Intimidate Voters" Meta Meets OSCE And EU Ambassadors

The President of the country Ilir Meta has held meetings with the ambassadors of the OSCE and the EU in Tirana, where it is learned that they have discussed the election process and the term of the OD cards.

Meta says that he has informed them that there will be zero tolerance for attempts to intimidate or hinder the participants in the April 25 elections.

"I called these days in special meetings the Ambassadors of the OSCE and the EU in Tirana, HE Vincenzo Del Monaco and HE Luigi Soreca.

I informed them about the meeting I had with civil society on issues related to the election process, including the postponement of ID cards and the possibility of voting for citizens affected by COVID-19.

I stressed that there will be zero tolerance for any attempt to intimidate, pressure and prevent mass participation in the April 25, 2021 elections.

Any individual who becomes involved in electoral crime schemes will be punished with the strictest force of law.

I appreciated the clear message of the European Union that the authors of files 184 and 339 will not be amnestied, just as no one else who dares to touch the free vote on April 25 will be amnestied.

The elections of April 25 will decide the fate of Albania and its irreversible European future", writes President Meta.
