Meta About The Sea: Rama Has Not Been Consulted Nor Has He Been Authorized To Negotiate With Greece By Me
The resolution of the sea issue with our neighbor Greece has again led to the office of the President representative of civil society.
In a Facebook post, Meta says that at their request he received today in a meeting civil society activists and members of the academic world, engaged at the Academy "Our Roots", who have expressed concerns about the issue of negotiations with Greece, for the delimitation of maritime areas between our two countries.
"I informed him that the incumbent Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has not been consulted, has not requested and has not been provided with any authorization by the President of the Republic, according to the obligation of the decision of the Constitutional Court of 2010, to negotiate or discuss with The Republic of Greece on behalf of the Republic of Albania, regarding the issue of the restriction of maritime zones, much less to decide or agree whether this issue will go for an alternative in any of the International Courts ”.
Meta assures all Albanian citizens that he will continue to exercise his duties to the maximum state and constitutional responsibility and that he will not accept for any moment to violate the state and national interests of the Republic of Albania by any individual who abuses the authority delegated by the Albanian people.
