"If I Do Not Keep My Promises, I Will Not Ask For Another Mandate" Basha Vows Before Civil Society

The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, calls April 25 a crucial day for Albanians, to be separated from propaganda and empty promises for a government that brings prosperity and employment.

In a conversation with representatives of Civil Society, at the Forum for Integration, organized this morning by the Institute of International Studies Basha even vowed that if during his rule he will not keep the promises of this campaign he will not seek another term.

Lulzim Basha: “We will return to the Albanians the expectations for their country that has extraordinary potentials.

An Albania with jobs, a dignified salary. It is entirely possible. Macedonia does, Kosovo does, Serbia does, Albania will do. After April 25 there will be a government that thinks about the people, while today we have a government that thinks about itself. Look at the ILDKPI letters tripled their wealth when Albanians became poorer. I came up with concrete plans, concrete commitments and not promises that were made 8 years ago and none of them were kept.

I swear before you. This will be the last campaign. There will be no campaign of ideas, but the campaign where we will reveal to the Albanians our commitments with the guarantee that if I do not fulfill them I will not ask for another mandate.

As for the political opponent, Basha said that the Albanians are facing a prime minister who for 8 years had more power in his hand than anyone else but enriched a handful of people and impoverished the Albanians.

Without discussion, on the other hand, you will hear the tired ones for 8 years that has had powers that even Enver Hoxha has not had and deals with attacks on me. But I assure you that I will not be part of this game and I hope that Albanians will not be part of this game but to vote for Albania and Albanians."

Basha further added that on April 25, Albania chooses to go to the EU or stay in the polls.
