DP Gives Worrying Figures: Within A Week 320 Teachers And Students Infected With Covid 19

DP: The government does not take any measures, hides cases with COVID, schools do not notify parents. The virus map is expanding with over 320 teachers and students affected.
The Democratic Party expresses concern that schools are turning into dangerous hotbeds of Covid-19 spread.
"The situation is completely out of control and the government seems to have left it free and is not taking any action. Last week alone, from the information coming to the DP, there are dozens of cases of teachers, dozens of cases of students, bringing the total number to more than 320 teachers and students infected with Covid 19, isolated and quarantined.
The government, Edi Rama, has no priority for either teachers or students, the only priority is for the state budget money to be sent to tax havens, to be sent to the oligarchs' pockets, to be sent to incinerators with ghost companies and not to be relied on of teachers, for the support of students and for the support of quality teaching” denounced the former Democratic MP Albana Vokshi in a statement for the media from the school “Emin Duraku” in Tirana.
In this school, from the information that PD has, it results that there are 8 teachers who have tested positive with Covid-19 and 20 teachers are quarantined.
The DP believes that replacing quarantined teachers or teachers who have tested positive with available teachers is not a solution.
"This has not only disoriented and brought stagnation in the curriculum of the students of this school, with unnecessary extra extra hours, but no tamponade has been done, no measure has been taken to tampon the students of the classes where teachers have resulted positive and also no parent has been contacted by the relevant institutions, by the IPH, the family doctor. It's not known where the Covid 19 outbreaks are among students or their families and parents.
In this way the cases cannot be isolated and the chain of infection cannot be broken. The virus has spread everywhere."
DP wants to implement point 2 of the 5-point plan, that of mass testing for every teacher in every school in Albania.
"This is the only way to map out the spread of the Covid 19 virus and break the chain of infection. Secondly, to create hygienic-sanitary conditions in every school, to have running water, to have soap, to have disinfectants, to make the appropriate disinfection of the premises between school hours. To provide free and disinfectant masks for teachers and students" says Albana Vokshi.
The DP calls on the government to react today because the social and human cost may be too great tomorrow and may be irreparable.
