Vjosa Osmani Congratulates Albanians: November 28 Marks A Day Of Pride And Hope For Every Albanian
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, through an official letter to the President of Albania Ilir Meta, wished the flag day for all Albanians.
Vjosa Osmani: The national flag touches the sense of existence of the nation in history. He is the inheritance perpetuated in the symbol. Since the time of Skanderbeg, he makes Albanians proud and unites them around one spirit. Therefore, they are strongly attached to it because, among other things, it symbolizes their freedom. So it was in Kruja, in 1443, in Vlora in 1912 and in Prishtina, in 1999.
Therefore, it is no coincidence that Albanians are among the few peoples, who, showing extreme respect for this symbol, has elevated it to another symbol, the national anthem. There one symbol, the anthem, calls to the other symbol, the flag. This is the strongest possible connection between the soul of the nation and the "song of the nation."
On this special day, therefore, we must remember our historical and cultural heritage, remember the antiquity of the nation and be proud of the values we have given to Western culture and civilization, from antiquity to modern times.
November 28 marks a day of pride and hope for every Albanian. It gathers us around our past and becomes a powerful impetus to bring our vision to life. Therefore, now that the vision of generations for freedom is crowned with the independence of Kosovo, the spiritual ties between our two countries must be strengthened.
Albania and Kosovo, one child of the early twentieth century and the other of the early twenty-first century, both as a result of the insistence on the values of freedom and strong alliances with Western civilization, are slowly becoming a factor of stability and peace in the region. They are walking side by side, as two sovereign states, in the process of European integration, recognizing and helping each other.
God bless Flag Day!
God bless the Albanians.
