The anti-defamation package and the establishment of theConstitutional Court and the Supreme Court were the focus of President IlirMeta's concerns in his weekly communication with journalists this Friday.
Meta said that the statement of the General Rapporteurof the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Stefan Schennachregarding the changes in the law on online media, is a bell that must be heard.
"Bells that should be heard well by the majority, especially in this pre-election period."
Regarding the establishmentof new justice institutions. He said that the institutions have deliberatelydelayed the information for KED.
"Filling vacancies. This problematic situation is 3 years old. Since the blocking of KED, and then its malfunction. The problems in 2019 have been addressed in the opinion of Venice. Even the KED of 2020 has problems, such as unjustified delays. The problems found are not only related to KED, but also other institutions. Dealing with information, and not realizing it in time. The President wants to know how the institutions have communicated with KED, and how KED has not reacted by accepting this delay "- said Meta.
