Constitutional By The End Of The Year, The Majority Extends Its Hand To Meta For Cooperation

The majority once again extends its hand of cooperationto President Ilir Meta to establish justice institutions, as one of theconditions to take Albania to the first intergovernmental conference onnegotiations with the EU.

After the call of the internationals, for theestablishment of the Constitutional Court as soon as possible, the socialistTaulant Balla again sets a "deadline" for the Albanian institutionsfor this institution that is out of function for 2 years.

This optimism of the SP representative is not shared bythe incumbent Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj.

Balla: I want to call on other institutions as well, because the President of the Republic is also involved in this process, so that in the function of this objective, that is, the establishment of the Constitutional Court with full effectiveness, we all have the deadline for the end of 2020.

Even the tendency for a softening of the relationshipbetween the majority and the President, Balla promised to demonstrate with theanti-corruption package.

Balla: Here I find the opportunity to calm the troubled souls that in the end the parliamentary commission and the Albanian Parliament will do nothing but what Venice has suggested to turn into Albanian.

Asked when the first intergovernmental conference willbe held, incumbent Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj in the integration commission isin no hurry to set a date, while he sees the end of the year as an ideal date.

Cakaj: It all depends on the situation in the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court.

The dissatisfaction of the Socialists with Gent Cakajhas curved him as one of the names that Edi Rama can replace from his cabinet.

And this phenomenon was also noticed in the integrationcommission, where not only the deputies of the parliamentary minority, but alsothe socialist Taulant Balla expressed dissatisfaction with the presentation ofthe acting Foreign Minister regarding the action plan for fulfilling the 15recommendations of the European Council.

Balla: Obviously the plan was not very detailed.

Albania must meet the 15 conditions set by the union toattend the first intergovernmental conference.
