After Four Years, The Supreme Court Starts Working, Here Are The First Files To Be Reviewed

After a 4-year pause, the Supreme Court has resumed consideration of court cases. It is about civil and administrative processes, which have no state party, which are tried with 3 members in the High Court.

The review will start according to the planned calendar and announcements on the official website of this court, as well as its external premises.

"The Supreme Court has started reviewing court cases in public hearings, according to the planned calendar and announcements on the official website of this court as well as its external premises.

We would like to bring to the attention of the parties in the process and the lawyers, who have submitted recourses to this court, to regularly consult with the official announcements made by the Supreme Court on its website www.gjykataelarte.gov.al, “List of Revealed Cases for Trial ”as well as outside the court premises (public stand)”, it is stated in the notification.

These issues that will be addressed in public hearings have had the "trial" phase, and have been decided before the vetting process, explains the Supreme Court.

As these are old cases in time, or with delicate issues, or returned by the Constitutional Court, and can be tried with three judges, it was decided to open the court session.

Also, another reason for their review is due to their nature and long time appearing in court.

Three members have been appointed to the Supreme Court for months, making it functional. They are Sokol Sadushi, Ervin Pupe and Ilir Panda.

The Supreme Court ceased to operate in 2016, when Justice reform began.
