Although it was one of the most affected sectors, initially by the earthquake and then by the pandemic, Prime Minister Rama says that tourism has kept the Albanian economy afloat.

In an interview for “Forbes”, Rama says that Albania is one of the countries least affected by Covid because the situation was assessed in time.

Regarding investments, Rama says that his ambition is to build a “Free Zone”, based on what exists in Dubai.

Regarding the EU project, Rama does not spare criticism of the Union. According to him, Euroscepticism is gaining ground.

In the judgment of the head of the Albanian government, among the new generation of Europeans, many have forgotten why the European Union was created.

Rama underlines that he will not see Albania become an object of envy for powerful actors operating outside European borders.
