As a former founder and former member of the Socialist Party, President Ilir Meta decided to address the members of the National Assembly with a public message, to talk about their chairman Edi Rama.
In this letter, Meta recalls that he joined the Socialist Party when no young man went and when Edi Rama threw black mud on the Socialists and the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War.
The head of state demands that Rama explain to the members of the National Assembly the accusations made against him, otherwise, if he does not do so, he says that he is obliged to prove to the Albanians his (Rama) terrible connections with the world of crime.
The Head of State also invited him to a public debate. The SP Assembly will convene this afternoon at 15:30.
MESSAGE TO THE ASSEMBLY OF THE SOCIALIST PARTY
Dear socialist friends,
I am addressing you as one of the former founders and former members of the Socialist Party, who is proud of the contribution given, not only for the modernization of this political force, its membership in the Socialist International, but also for its achievements and successes in years, especially for the adoption by Referendum of the Constitution in 1998.
I joined the Socialist Party, when no young people went and when Edi Rama threw black mud on the socialists and the Anti-Fascist National Liberation War.
It is this individual, whom the SP took from the refugees and made a minister, mayor and prime minister, who today has taken this party hostage and is abusing the SP emblem to block Albania’s integration.
You know much better than I do how this irresponsible man expelled from this party the most prominent professors and intellectuals of the country, to replace them with traffickers and criminals, who today blush with shame.
This man without Homeland, without honor, without values accuses me today that I have met the subjects of OFL.
I publicly ask him to make public the name, the box and the hour when I met this character from the world of crime and I will resign immediately.
Otherwise, if he does not do so during the proceedings of the Assembly of the Socialist Party, I am obliged to deal with him every day and prove to the Albanians his terrible connections with the criminal world, the damage to the national cause, and I will not. I separate them until we mix it together from the Socialist Party.
Every day I will invite him to a TV debate, to any studio he chooses, and to any journalist he prefers
Dear socialist friends,
I wish you success in today’s work of the SP Assembly.
Yours as always,
With correctness and keeping words
