Tourist season in Vlora, Bedinaj: Frequent business controls create a negative

Frequent controls on entities operating along the coast are creating a negative image to tourists.

The head of southern tourism operators, Vasil Bedinaj, says it is necessary for the government to change the control systems, since beyond the flow of clients they must face inspections from a number of institutions.

Bedinaj noted that there was no significant tourist boom in the South this year, but the quality of services offered was much higher.

Meanwhile for August, tourist numbers from Italy, Holland and Germany are expected to rise.

This year, a noticeable increase in the duration of the tourist season has been observed, with the tourism industry increasing their operational periods from about 45 days to approximately 70 days.
