"This decision has been made based on the conditions of some road segments and to create ease for tourists, especially in those areas that have higher intensity tourism.

During the discussion with groups of interest, it was agreed that the limitations would apply during the period, 15 June - 15 September.

Meanwhile in the coming days specialists will determine the traffic limitation schedules on these three weekend days and the axes in which it will be applied to in order to create an ease of movement for tourists without impinging on their ability to perform their business activity.

The guidance will be followed and applied on the ground as a coordinated effort between the Road Traffic Police and other agencies that regulate road transport, including Ports and Customs.
