Explosives Inside The Theatre? Minister Lleshaj Justifies The Intervention Of

The Interior Minister, Sander Lleshaj, has justified the intervention of the RENEA troops in the National Theater with the voices that spoke about placing explosives inside the building.

In the interpellation requested by the opposition, Minister Lleshaj defended the police officers who went out in protest without identification numbers, saying that the opposition will never take their names.

"As for RENEA, they have been at the theater because they needed to control the building, there were suspicions that there would be explosives and before starting work for the destruction of the building, RENEA with its anti-explosive unit has verified the building to prevent the danger it could pose to the citizens ”.

With this argument, based on the voices and not on the police information, the Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj, has justified the involvement of the RENEA special forces in the demolition of the National Theatre.

In the interpellation requested by the opposition, Lleshaj said that on the whole the police has remained only in the use of physical coercion, even though the law gives them more powers.

Lleshaj: In the law on the State Police, Article 133, which I’ll quote now, it is stated as follows: ”The police officer selects the necessary level of force between the escalated opportunities, which, among other things, include verbal persuasion, physical coercion, percussion, paralyzed vehicles, electric percussion instruments, police dogs and firearms.”

This is recognized by the current PSH law, as well as that of any other police in the normal world, in the competence in authorizations for escalating force for the police.

So there are some degrees. And if you look at it, the police are left with the first degree, physical coercion. The police exercised so much force on May 17 as the only way to exercise and fulfill their duty.

The violence against journalists has an explanation for Lleshaj.

Lleshaj: The police, honorable deputies, do not recognize the hierarchy in its mission. He knows no one but the law.

On that day there were two incidents with 2 media representatives who were not in the exercise of their duty, as media representatives, but intervened and obstructed by hand, physically the female police officers, while performing their duty.

And you know that obstructing a police officer from committing and exercising legal responsibility is a criminal offense. And neither the media nor the minister has this right.

Opposition groups called for the beleagured PM to resign, but he denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating "Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia's intelligence have been made more than once.

Lleshaj: Why do you ask us to put a license plate on all people, how can we put a license plate on them. The number of police IDs is not a universal standard.

The ID number is set when the police officer goes on patrol individually, when he goes to the village, when he goes out on the street so that you can identify him.

I emphasize that it is not a mandatory standard in the international context.

The Minister did not have an answer to the opposition's question whether the Municipality has made available the documentation for the acquisition of the land of the National Theater.
