A specialist from Public Health Institute told an Ora news journalist that the AH3N2 virus is expected to hang around until April, but it is not in its aggressive form. However, the Ministry of Health’s order was not followed by some private kindergartens, which were opened today, regardless of flu situation.
The Minister of Health announced today that approximately 600 patients, from the capital alone, have received treatment in Tirana’s 10 health centers, and that 301 of them were children.
The flu situation has been problematic in other cities as well, especially in Fier and Korçë, where hundreds of children have needed hospital treatment since January 1st. Doctors urge the citizens to first consult their family doctor before they go to the hospital.
