"It's here that the culture of our police force begins and, on this basement, where any kind of approach or any kind of vision rises.

"I am just waiting to see what the proposals are, whether the salary issue will be addressed or if the focus will be on other elements, as the laws allow.

The aim is that we can adapt to absorb the best capabilities in the field of criminology and criminal justice, but also in the security field." said Fatmir Xhafaj.

The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Lindita Nikolla said that concrete steps will be taken for further reforming of the Academy, which will also include the addition of opportunities foir master studies.

Meanwhile, Director BilbIL MEmaj, after presenting the vision for reforming the Academy, stated that the target will be the formation of specialists for all law enforcement agencies in the country.

"Many public security employees have no education and have no obligation to come to the Academy.

"They have completed qualification courses, but not real school.

"We at the Academy think that all the public security institutions, for the coming year, must undergo the passage to a basic education, or continuous professional training.

"We should not continue with these poor practices anymore. So, all public security institutions should come to the academy, be tested and be selected to maintain the level of standard as outlined in the criteria," said BilbIL MEmaj.

The Minister of Interior also emphasized the strengthening of the Scientific Research Center.

He concluded by discussing the recruitment process, declaring that in addition to physical abilities, the integrity test remains an essential element.
