Convinced that the territory can not be cleaned with just one action, the Minister for Environment, Blendi Klosi, admits that, so far, all governments have failed to win this battle.

At the West Balkan waste management meeting, Minister Klosi said that the actions will not guarantee long-term results.

"The environmental issue cannot be resolved with a simple clean-up operation" said Klosi.

Apparently, Albania and Kosovo are in the process of developing ways to collaborate on this very important issue that relates to the health of the citizens.

Kosovo's Minister of Environment said that the two countries should have a collaborative waste management plan.

"The two countries must have a common environmental plan" said Albena ReshITaj.

The countries in the Balkan region are currently engaged in drafting environmental policies which are in line with the global environmental agenda.
