Opposition Protest, Demonstration by DP Supporters Occurs Today in front of

After they 'burned' one by one their mandates, the opposition's MPs invited all the protesters to march towards Parliament to officially deposit their decision.

“Let's start our journey now, follow me together. All of us should surrender the mandates of the deputies to end the façade of the criminal regime, to take over our fate and to finalize this historic and patriotic act.

“I will stand by your side in this battle because I believe in European and American democracy. I believe in the rule of law that protects citizens before the law and send the corrupt politicians to jail.

“For Edi Rama, resignation is just the beginning. He will be brought to justice where he deserves to be. I urge the police not to allow the exit from the border Albania of the Albania's "defendant" Edi Rama,” expressed Basha.

Basha said that all together are not the people of violence, but the people of freedom and democracy, they are the future European of the country and they will never accept a gang PM caught in flagrante by stealing the people’s vote and tens of hundreds of millions by the Albanians.

The chair of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha made this call, while the Prime Minister Edi Rama was inside the Parliament offices in his meeting with the Parliamentary speaker Gramoz Ruçi.

The crowd of protesters supported Basha and promised to be with him and other opposition MPs during the official process of mandate abandon.

The Democratic Party chair, Lulzim Basha put an end to Thursday's protest by singing the National anthem, but he invited citizens to prepare for the next protest.

Basha declared that opposition's MPs now will be simple citizens, as they gave up from their mandates.

This declaration came in front of DP supporters, at premises of DP headquarters, after the protest in front of Parliament.

Basha was accompanied by Socialist Movement for Integration chair, Monika Kryemadhi, while all the opposition's MPs handed over their mandates to the Parliament's Offices.

“The opposition today handed over the mandates and locked the parliament of crime. From today we are simple citizens on your side, with you and for you. We started today a journey of hope that will not stop until we overthrow Prime Minister, Edi Rama. 

“Let's start the action throughout Albania to overthrow this criminal government," said Basha.

In the end, DP leader declared the end of Thursday's protest, inviting his supporters to prepare for the next "battle".
