Corruption with public property, Dhurata Çupi: Rama has caused a loss of

At a press conference, DP MP Dhurata Çupi promised that, with the Democratic Party coming into power, investigations will be launched into any public property that has been stolen.

The opposition has criticized Rama for causing a loss of 19 million Euros in regards to public property.

According to the MP from the blue headquarters, Dhurata Çupi, the public property was alienated according to the corrupt interests of the majority.

"One of the records of this government is corruption with public property. With a 19 million Euro loss, Edi Rama's government has brought on an invasion of public property, giving it to the mafia, the corrupt, and their clients.

"When they came to power five years ago, this government found the inventory of all public property in the Republic of Albania, at both the central and local level.

"But, instead of making this inventory useful for the public good to generate revenue, or to be used as a compensation fund for owners, public properties are used to enrich Edi Rama's friends and clients.

"Someone was given a concession, someone else renting for 90 years," said Dhurata Çupi.

According to Çupi, the Democratic Party will analyze and investigate any public property that has been stolen.

"The Democratic Party is committed to conduct a thorough investigation and analysis of any public property stolen and robbed for these 5 years. No one will enjoy the fruits of corrupt public property, contrary to the law," said Dhurata Çupi.

The Democratic Party underlines that, in 2017, the Supreme State Audit filed penal charges for 129 persons from both the central and local government with the prosecutor's office.

However, unfortunately, there is no report from the prosecutor's office that the government officials have been brought before the court for abuse of office or abuse with properties.
